LEP Participant Expectations
With high reward comes high expectations. Once admitted to the program, LEP participants must fulfill a variety of responsibilities.
All LEP expectations and responsibilities are designed to help participants successfully complete their degree, while making the most out of their college experience.
LEP Expectations & Responsibilities
Grants, scholarships, and work-study are conditioned upon these commitments. Failure to uphold these requirements may result in dismissal from the program.
- Attend LEP Freshman Orientation
- Live in a residence hall with LEP students as part of a community cohort for the first year, then in any residence hall during the second and subsequent years at UL Lafayette
- Join at least one student organization
- Meet with an Academic Success Coach at least once per week
- Attend study hall at least six hours per week
- Participate in Student Success Programs each semester to enhance personal and professional development
- Follow all campus rules and regulations
- Maintain TOPS and Federal Financial Aid eligibility
- Work a maximum of 12 hours per week at an on-campus work-study job. LEP participants are not permitted to work off-campus.
